January – Start Your Year off Right

January is a time of new beginnings, a time to better ourselves. Many of us would like to better ourselves by getting fit and eating healthy but it is hard and overwhelming to know where to start. An effective method is to make small changes that work towards one big goal. For example, if my overall goal is to eat healthy, I could make small more specific changes each day that work towards that large goal. Some simple steps would be:

  • Eating a healthy breakfast
  • Replacing salty or sweet snacks with fruits and vegetables
  • Limiting my soda/sweet tea intake to once a day
  • Eat out only once or twice per week

These small changes can all add up throughout the year to help me reach my goal of eating healthy. Let’s start the New Year off right by working to start our day right each day with a healthy breakfast.
