Building Public Health Infrastructure in Tribal Communities

The ITCA Tribal Epidemiology Center is utilizing funds provided by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to focus on Building Public Health Infrastructure in Tribal Communities to accelerate disease prevention and health promotion in Indian country. ITCA TEC works with 8 Tribes (6 AZ, 1 UT, 1 NV) and will assist Tribal health projects in order to contribute to:

• Reductions in chronic disease and risk factors
• Reductions in disparities in health outcomes
• Improvements in overall health

• Injury or Disability
• Program monitoring and evaluation
