The Inter Tribal Council of Arizona, Inc. (ITCA) Maternal Health Innovation Program (MHIP) developed a strategic plan in collaboration with the Tribal MHI Steering Committee to reduce maternal mortality and morbidity in American Indian communities in Arizona. ITCA is currently working with Tribal communities and the Steering Committee to implement the strategic plan with funding from the Arizona Department of Health Services through HRSA.
Through MHIP, ITCA provides training and resources to support and diversify the maternal health workforce.
