Under the direction of the Health and Human Services Director, the Health Promotion Specialist will coordinate chronic disease prevention activities with the Tribes in Arizona, Utah and Nevada to implement interventions or improve policy, system, and environmental changes focusing on heart disease, stroke, obesity, cancer and diabetes prevention. Position requires monthly travel. Timely and regular attendance to work, work-related events and virtual sessions is an essential function of this position.

Program Evaluator

Program Evaluator

Under the direction of the Tribal Public Health Infrastructure Program Manager the Program Evaluator is responsible for providing training and technical support to ITCA health programs and Tribal partners. Will evaluate the effectiveness of its Public Health Infrastructure programs. This position will collect and analyze program data, interpret findings, and suggest program changes. Timely and regular attendance to work and work-related events is an essential function of this position.

Epidemiologist II – Syphilis & Congenital Syphilis Prevention

Under the general supervision of the TEC Program Manager at the Inter Tribal Council of Arizona, Inc. (ITCA), the Epidemiologist II effectively provides Tribes in Arizona, Nevada, and Utah with epidemiologic expertise regarding infectious disease data collection, analysis, interpretation, quality improvement, dissemination, and disease prevention and control. The Epidemiologist II will serve as the health promotion lead for the TEC Syphilis & Congenital Syphilis support by providing technical assistance and training to support Tribal projects. Timely and regular attendance to work and work-related events is an essential function of this position.

Under the general supervision of the TEC Program Manager at the Inter Tribal Council of Arizona, Inc. (ITCA), the Epidemiologist II effectively provides Tribes in Arizona, Nevada, and Utah with Arizona epidemiologic expertise regarding Corona Virus 2019. The Epidemiologist II will serve as the health promotion lead for the TEC COVID-19 support by providing technical assistance and training to support Tribal projects. Timely and regular attendance to work and work-related events is an essential function of this position.

Mental Health First Aid Specialist

Mental Health First Aid Specialist

Under the direction of the Assistant Director, the Mental Health First Aid Specialist will be primarily responsible to implement the Mental Health First Aid Program, an evidenced-based public education program from the National Council for Behavioral Health, across Tribal communities across Arizona. The Mental Health First Aid Specialist will work with youth-serving organizations to provide training to identify, understand and respond to signs of mental illness and substance use disorders in youth with the goal of reducing adolescent suicides and non-fatal suicides. Attention to detail is required. Timely and regular attendance to work and work-related events is an essential function of this position.
