Integrated Pest Management (IPM) for Tribal Communities Training – June 10th – 12th

The Inter Tribal Council of Arizona, Inc. (ITCA), in collaboration with the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community, the University of Arizona College of Agriculture and Life Sciences Cooperative Extension, and U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, Region 9, invites you to attend the Integrated Pest Management (IPM) for Tribal Communities Training from June 10-12, 2025. The training will be held at the Talking Stick Resort, 9800 E. Talking Stick Way, Scottsdale, Arizona, 85256.

The target audience for this course will be Tribal Environmental Directors and staff, IPM Coordinators, Housing Directors and staff, Tribal Leadership and Administrators, Public Health Personnel, Tribal Epidemiology, Tribal School Personnel that include educators, nurses, facility managers, buildings and grounds managers and staff, and food service managers and staff. The IPM Training will focus on providing information on the IPM philosophy, the biology, behavior, identification, and control of general household pests, including mosquitoes, bed bugs, cockroaches, rodents, pesticide safety and use, protecting children’s health and the environment, agricultural IPM, pollinator protection, and the Endangered Species Act. A group excursion to the Butterfly Wonderland Exhibit is scheduled for the 2nd day of the training.
