The Environmental Specialist will coordinate and facilitate individual water and wastewater systems training and certification examination events, as assigned, process applications for new Tribal certification, and renewal of existing Tribal certification.
The Training & Certification Manager: schedules, coordinates, facilitates, and oversees all Tribal certification and professional development training and exam events of the Department; and oversees the tracking, review and assessment, and correspondence to all applications for certification received by the Department. The project management will include: grant and contract management; plans, develops, and implements various Tribal water utility workforce capacity development projects including both in-person and remote forms of events for training and examination; and analyzes certification applications (new, renewal, and reciprocity) and proposes appropriate options for administrative decisions to those applications.
